WINNING THE PRIZE OF THE “BRIDE OF CHRIST”

THE BRIDE OF CHRIST IS THE HIGHEST REWARD OF THE NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH. Over and over in Scripture we hear the words similar to this statement: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” (Revelation 22:12) We are saved by grace and through faith but the rewards of the Lord are given to those that earn them. The Bride is the highest reward and the New Heaven and New Earth is the least reward. If you are saved, “Born Again,” and an“Overcomer” of this world, sin, and the devil, then you will have eternal life in the New World. Remember the Lord’s words,”He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. “(Revelation 21:7)

Apostle Paul was explicit about the fact of many believers losing their rewards because they were shabby in their lifestyle and labors. The Holy Ghost spoke using his anointed lips and pen stating, “But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. ” (I Corinthians 3:10b-13) You will decide by your surrender and dedication what your reward or rewards will be. It’s exciting to consider our Wonderful Lord honoring us with His rewards and it’s sad to think of losing what we could have inherited. “If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (1 Corinthians 3: 14-15) This is plain truth, so make your life count for Him.

Apostle Paul was clearly dedicated to receiving the highest possible reward for his lifes work He said, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14) Note the words this great Apostle spoke, “The PRIZE of the high calling” was his goal and passion.

Now we must get it in our heads that living in the city “New Jerusalem” is for the Bride, those with the highest reward. John the Revelator said, “And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” (Revelation 21:24-27) Here is a multitude of precious souls, saved and receiving many rewards, but not the highest one and the prize

I HAVE DETRIMINED LONG AGO, LIKE THE APOSTLE PAUL, TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING FOR THE “HIGH CALLING OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS.” To be saved and live in the New Heaven and New Earth is worth this whole world a thousand times, but to be His Bride for Eternity is the ultimate “REWARD”. He has chosen you but you must make the sacrifice. You are saved by Grace but you will be rewarded according to your sacrifice and great devotions to Him.

CAPTURED BY HIS LOVE: A SONG OF SOLOMON

“The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.” (Song of Solomon 2:8-9) This book is the greatest “Love Story” in the Bible. The entire Song of Solomon is a drama of His love for the Chosen Bride and the Bride’s love for the Bridegroom.

This vision of the Lord Jesus Christ is another one of those capturing scenes in the First Testament. How in the world did His Own Flesh and Blood miss the beauty of His Presence? Religion had stolen their heart and they could not see beyond the great system of theology called Judaism. Their feast days were magnificent and their worship was planned to splendor, but they had allowed it to become empty of life. We live in a similar day when worship is more music and emotion than the Life of Christ in the Spirit.

The “Punk Rock” Churches are so full of lights, noise, and giddy emotions until Jesus Christ is offended and the Holy Ghost is blasphemed. It satisfies man’s superstition for something unseen but has no effect in being captured by His Divine Love. Those converted to these churches are filled with soulical worship no different from being obsessed with an Eastern Guru. It’s a good way to go to hell singing every step.

But to be captured by the Love of our Redeemer is life everlasting. This sermon has five very important points. You can learn from all five facts:

* Teaching and learning to love as children, youth and family!

* Discovering the Love of our Heavenly Father!

* Jesus Christ gave His life, it was not taken!!

* The love of being transformed by His shed Blood!

* Agape Love is Divine Love and it manifests great joy and praise in the believer’s heart!

Worship is Love that is directed to our Father and to our personal Lord. Genuine worship is man’s highest capacity. Worship can be emotional but it is far above simple emotion. God created us with a whisper of His Own Spirit and the spirit of man can have fellowship by spirit to Spirit. Spiritual worship allows the Holy Spirit to shed abroad His Love in our heart. The Holy Spirit said, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:5)

The soul of the righteous is open to love of which our world has no knowledge. While they run to pleasure we attend the Sanctuary of the Lord and they question what they consider of no meaning. Our heart says with Solomon, “Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.” (Song of Solomon 1:4) Our vision of Him is so glorious that we sing, “O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.” (Song of Solomon 2:14)

RELIGION IS IN THE HEAD, BUT JESUS CHRIST IS IN THE HEART

Our world is full of head religion without a heart. Jesus Christ said it perfectly, “This people draw near unto Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me.” (Matthew 15:8) A person that is “Born Again” and right with God is ruled by their heart. Soon after anyone becomes a transformed person, the head and the heart will experience a certain level of conflict. The head says, “I’m the boss” but the heart says,“No you are not, He’s the boss,” and the war is on. This is where the old Methodist would say,“You need to be sanctified.” Sanctification is death to the head and holiness to the heart.

The head can know great facts about truth and Christ, but the heart must be under His mastery before you become a transformed Christian. The Bible says it plainly, “For as he thinks in his heart so is he.” (Proverbs 23: 7a) The heart is where the claims of Jesus Christ are established. Until the heart is involved in total surrender and all life is on the alter that soul is lost.

Head religion alone will guarantee an empty heart. No wonder the joyful shouts have departed from our churches. There is no gloom in heart religion. A heart under Christ’s saving graces is a place of happiness and blessings. It’s impossible to be sad and full of Christ in the heart at the same moment. Nothing can stop a heart full of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. Jesus Said,“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37b-38)

The independent person may have a head full of religion but they have an empty heart. The word independent is not in our Bible, not one time. “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23) The secular world has filled our thought life with the idea that everyone is self sufficient and subject to no one. That’s the sin nature that will always end in despair. Its Satan’s lie!

The Head is where you think and argue but the heart is where you move out of the squalor onto main street. It’s a miracle to see an old decimated alcoholic or harlot become the prize of Christ’s Kingdom. It didn’t happen until the head said, “I give you my heart.” The transformed heart loves things it has never loved before and hates things it has never hated before. That’s the new man or women with a new heart.

The head can never experience “Agape Love.” Agape Love is the product of Jesus Christ in mastery of a surrendered heart. Our world needs love that flows out of the Christ filled heart. Marriages are quickly healed when Christ takes charge of two hearts. This kind of love is the greatest witness for Christ than all our words.

Head religion can be bull-headed, stubborn, rebellious, worldly, cantankerous, and lost. Give Jesus Christ your heart today and tell your head, the war is over, Jesus Christ has won my heart. You have passed from death in the head to life in the heart. “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” (Ephesian 3:16-17,19) PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS SERMON FROM OUR SANCTUARY!

2012: JOSE ARGUELLES’, YEAR OF THE “CRYSTAL KINGDOM”

JESUS CHRIST SAID, “TAKE HEED THEREFORE HOW YE HEAR.” (St. Luke 8:18a) Never has this great lesson been so imperative. In the past we said, “Take heed what you hear”, but now it is more important how we hear. Let me explain this as we consider the idea of the “Crystal Kingdom”.Twenty five years ago, Mr. Arguelles with other New Agers, made the idea of a paradigm shift (A new way to see an old truth.) a big thing. They started the Harmonic Convergence as an important event and even held New Year celebrations called “Earth Day”. The first event was in 1987. About that same time a twenty five year period was declared by this movement of Heathen thinkers. By creating a worldwide harmony using the idea of a paradigm shift in thinking the Crystal Kingdom” would begin on January 21, 2012. (Jose Arguelles died on March 23, 2011 just in time to miss his own prophecies ultimate failure.) Here we are on the verge of their date for a new world. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY WHAT I’M ABOUT TO SAY. PLEASE THINK WITH ME! The entire world has made a paradigm shift but not to a Crystal Kingdom. Consider the Bible and listen to how it is viewed and explained. Consider the new church life and theology and look for a church that resembles what you remember as a church. Think about the music and ask yourself what has happened. I KNOW, I’M A “FUNDAMENTALIST PREACHER.” AND CONSIDERED OUT OF DATE AND EVEN ODD. There is a large church movement all over America that is absolutely taking a multitude to hell. They have made the total paradigm shift and love it. The “Crystal Kingdom” is nothing but the Antichrist movement getting the world ready for after the RAPTURE. Every reader needs to share this message with everyone you love. We have no choice but to return our thinking to the simple way of hearing the Truth. The Bible is literal. You must let it interpret itself . God said what He meant. For instance, when the book of Revelation tell us of a city called New Jerusalem, it is a city. John saw it and why then do we try to put some kind of spin on this truth. I love every reader we have and I am not reprimanding you. I am burdened to help every soul, but especially my many friends. Start today, “Take Heed How You Hear.” I pray this sermon will bless your life.

THAT I MAY KNOW HIM: “From the Psalms of David”

THE FIRST TESTAMENT “GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST” BY THE PSALMIST DAVID! One of the greatest experiences you will ever have in the FIRST TESTAMENT is to view the revelations of Christ by King David. The Book of Psalms is the most read book in the First Testament. This book is so eternal and unmatched in literature that it stands alone. David is called, “The Man After God’s Own Heart”. His one great failure broke his heart and left him a more humble and sensitive man, The Bible does not record the moment in his life that he received his first revelation of the Christ. It must have been before he started writing the Psalms. In Psalms two he saw the “Virgin Birth”, in Psalms 22, he saw the “Crucifixion and in Psalms 16, he saw the“Resurrection”. Please notice the certainty of his words. “For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.” (Psalms 16:10) When he spoke of the Virgin Birth it was also a beautiful statement of the “Trinity of God. “I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.” (Psalms 2:7) The ‘Only Begotten Son” is a classic term concerning His conception by the Holy Ghost. The description of the “Crucifixion” is even more graphic. Note several verses from Psalms 22. “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.” (Psalms 22:1,14,16-18) You will never find a description of the Savior’s death more powerful than these words of David. GOD LOVES HIS PRODIGAL SONS

Nothing grieves our Heavenly Father like the prodigals who have gone astray. The Father never forgets them until death claims their soul. One of the sad facts that often destroys the backslider is the blindness they experience. Most backsliders will not admit their condition. Usually they can find someone to blame and that makes them even more locked in their imagination. The story of the Prodigal Son is one of Christ’s greatest examples. Several factors played a part of the “And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.” (Luke 15:13) He left his father’s house of plenty but was soon in desperate want. “And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.” (Luke 15:16) He had to see his insanity before he could start for home. “And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” (Luke 15:17) The father was waiting for him even though it had been a long time. “And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20) This is such a grand picture of the welcome a fallen believer can expect. You are not hated even though it has been a long time and you are now a mess. The Father is waiting even as you read. “Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.” (James 5:7) You will hear the DAVY BOGGS FAMILY singing one of my favorite songs,“THE SWEET HOLY GHOST” at the introduction to this Sermon. FORGIVENESS, THE BIBLE IS FULL OF FORGIVENESS

GOD HATES SIN AND EVERY SINNER WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN HELL, UNLESS, THEY TURN TO JESUS CHRIST AND RECEIVE HIS ABUNDANT FORGIVENESS. Adam and Eve started the sin problem when they disobeyed. Nothing makes the book of Genesis the infallible book it is like the picture of this horrible fall from such perfection of creation. Every human person is now born a sinner with a bondage to selfishness and wicked living. Our world is wicked, Satan is the god of this world but neither problem makes someone a sinner. People are sinners because they have never met and received the Savior, and they only get worse because the world breeds more and more sin. Many people that are “BORN AGAIN” forget that sin has consequence. As they see this in their family or life after they are forgiven they often think they were never forgiven. The SINNER that comes to Jesus Christ must comes with conviction of sin, freely admitting their lost condition. You cannot receive Christ unless you accept guilt. You are lost until He comes to dwell upon the throne of your heart. THEN AND ONLY THEN ARE YOU PREPARED TO SPEND ETERNITY WITH THE LORD AND TO ESCAPE THE ETERNAL LAKE OF FIRE. Listen!, the Holy Ghost said, “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” (Romans 6:6-7) Our NEW LIFE is absolutely wonderful. We are new creatures, recreated in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We are no longer bound in sin and ungodly living. Some LYING PROPHETS are preaching that we must continue to be bound in sin. That’s not what the Holy Ghost said, “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” (Romans 6:12-13) The Bible is full of forgiveness and the new life that follows. JESUS CHRIST: THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN

LYING PROPHETS ARE NOW TEACHING THAT THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO GOD AND HEAVEN. An article on internet is declaring that Jesus Christ has converted to Islam. This is “APOSTASY” in its worst form and shows that men and women are quickly slipping further and further from common sense and the Holy Scripture. APOSTASY at this level has clearly crossed the line in the sand, beyond repentance and forgiveness. Apostle Paul warned us of the “Last Days” when men would reject truth and be given strong delusion. A person that has any genuine understanding of the Bible knows how frightful this idea reveals. The Holy Ghost spoke by this Apostle a clear warning. “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (II Thessalonians 2:9-11)This level of delusion is so evil that it destroys all sense of right and wrong. Jesus Christ left His eternal fellowship with His Father to become a sacrifice for the human race. He was God revealed in flesh to become the substitute for our sins. There is no other possibility to offer cleansed from our guilt and damnable state. No PERSON can enter the Father’s presence in their sinful condition. It’s Jesus Christ and His Divine Blood or it’s the Lake of Fire forever. Isn’t it amazing that this Biblical absolute is being questioned right at the time of His return? Keep the faith and do not let anything make you waver. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) IT IS SURRENDER TO JESUS CHRIST OR IT IS ETERNITY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE.

HOW TO KNOW YOU WILL MISS, “THE GREAT TRIBULATION”

A MULTITUDE IS GOING TO SUDDENLY REALIZE, “I HAVE MISSED THE RAPTURE.” You will be frightened beyond insanity. “THE DOUBLE MINDED CHURCH WORLD IS JUST NOT READY” One of the most powerful Scriptures in the Holy Bible warning us of people missing the Rapture is Matthew Chapter Twenty-Five. These are the words of Jesus Christ and there is only one Marriage Supper in the Word of God. The five foolish virgins were unprepared to go with the Lord because they were “DOUBLE-MINDED.” “And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.” (Matthew 25:8-10) “Foolish” virgins are virgins that are religious and decent people. They live clean and love many things of truth but they are unsettled and undisciplined in walking after the ways of God. In other words they have never abandoned themselves to taking up the cross, denying themselves and following wholly after the Lord. In Revelation, Jesus said they were lukewarm. “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:16) James talked about the “double-minded state of nonspiritual people. “For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:7-8) The church world has never been so full of “double-minded people.” Their Christian walk is up today and down tomorrow. They appear religious unless it’s a bad day or someone angers them. They move from church to church or from one marriage to another marriage. Nothing is an absolute to them. But it is absolute that they will miss the Rapture and be left for the “Seven Years of the Great Tribulation.” Jesus said it and that settles it. Please listen to this Sermon. If you would study and believe the GREAT book of Revelation you would quit allowing crazy doctrines to make you doubt the PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE. SATAN’S DEFEAT, FROM HEAVEN’S POINT OF VIEW

SATAN LOVES FOR PEOPLE TO THINK THAT HE DOES NOT EXIST. HIS GREATEST DESIGN IS TO HIDE BEHIND LIES AND DECEPTION. Bible Believers are too smart to be duped. The Bible gives us a perfect picture of Satan’s final days. The Holy Ghost said, ” Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” (Isaiah 14:9,12,14) We might wonder why Satan has been allowed to destroy people and nations for so long. This is why PROPHECY in the Bible is so important. God’s principles are judicially perfect. When Satan is judged it will be the results of allowing him to hang himself. The Death of Jesus Christ was to pay the REDEMPTIVE price of judging him. The Saints of God had to gather evidence over a long life span to prove beyond guestion Satan’s guilt.. At the same time the Holy Spirit has been REDEEMING A BRIDE for the Son in spite of the lies and insanity of Satan and his deceived angels and men. We are near the final hour that will finish the GRAND DESIGN of our Heavenly Father. Revelation was given to us to show us the END. “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Revelation 20: 1,2 and 10) What a picture John actual saw. It was not told to him but he saw it happen prophetically. A person must be a stubborn soul to deny this truth.
